Don’t Ignore Those DMV Suspensions! Ask this guy!

This guy should have called me a long time ago to get those suspensions lifted and clean up his license! He’d be a lot better off today if he did!

Here’s proof (albeit an extreme example) that ignoring problems on your driving record does not make them go away; they WILL come back to bite you!

In New York, it only takes 10 active suspensions to land you the felony charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree (AUO 1st), a class E felony, with a maximum sentence for a conviction of 1 1/3 to 4 years in state prison.

You can also be charged with AUO 1st if you’re caught driving drunk or impaired while on a suspended or conditional license as a result of a previous DWI or DWI related offense, or you’re driving with a permanently revoked license.
